The Gap
The Gap State School had been successful with their application for funding of a new building- the site however was long and skinny with the various functions carried out over a number of levels. The master plan had to ensure a cohesive campus was created that was easy to navigate and accommodate the various age groups. A consultative process ensured all users were considered.
Ashgrove State School
Schools by nature develop over many years and it is important to have a coherent master plan so that the development is logical and sequential
Ashgrove Sate School master planning has be an on-going task where plans for new buildings as well as projects initiated by Parents & Friends need to be considered.
Our approach is to meet with teachers, students and parents to understand their requirements and work with them to come up with a suitable plan. A consultative approach ensures that everyone is heard and all aspects of the design considered.
Oakleigh State School
This school has been an ongoing project with the master plan having several revisions as changes in curriculum took place and the Building Education Revolution facilitated new classroom blocks. Oakleigh SS had a very active Parents and Friends Committee who were keen to improve the facilities. The process we used was consultative, with teachers, parents and children interviewed and feedback incorporated into the master plan.
Cabanda Aged Care
For this project we worked under Project Management and Building Company Paynter Dixon to master plan the site so that the bed numbers could be maximised. Cabanda was a successful community run aged care facility with the potential for further growth. We worked with management to ensure their future needs would be met without jeopardising the existing infrastructure.
